Kevin Prince Boateng has preached caution ahead of Milan's trip to Atalanta, suggesting it is more of a challenge than Week 18’s derby with Inter.

In an interview with Milan’s official television Channel, Boateng urged his Rossoneri colleagues to focus only on this weekend’s challenge with Stefano Colantuono’s men, in light of they capability to upset proceedings.

Il Diavolo face Inter in the first Milan derby of the season next weekend, but this weekend travel to Bergamo to face an Atalanta side that but for a six-point penalty over the summer, would be level on points with their fellow Nerazzurri.

“The match against Atalanta will be more difficult than the derby,” suggested the attacking midfielder. “They defend very well against us and play a defensive game, so it will be more difficult.”

Recently retired from international duty with adopted country Ghana, Boateng outlined his ambitions for the season, as the Black Stars prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations without him.

“For me it is important to win the League title. I train at Milanello every day for the Scudetto. Then, we will see if we can challenge for the Champions League.

“If we [win it], maybe I’ll get another tattoo.”
