Giuseppe Sannino has suggested that in Siena’s desperation to put points on the board, that fear of Week 17 opponents Lazio is not even considered.

Since a 4-1 victory over Chievo at the end of October, the Robur have failed to win any of their last seven League games. That run includes five defeats, whilst Sannino’s men have not scored a League goal for 453 minutes.

Since a 4-1 victory over Chievo at the end of October, the Robur have failed to win any of their last seven League games. That run includes five defeats, whilst Sannino’s men have not scored a League goal for 453 minutes.

However, even as they prepare to face the League’s third-tightest defence on Saturday evening, go into the fixture as Serie A’s most out-of-form side and with a number of injuries and suspensions to deal with, Coach Sannino remains buoyant.

“The absences do not worry me, whoever takes to the field for me is always the best available.

“I have a great respect for Lazio, but not fear. They are a team built to do well, as they have done so far, and they have many champions.

“But we need points,” urged the tactician. “For us it is a game of considerable importance. We need to get a result.”
