“We’ve been missing a centre-forward for a while. I liked Belotti, he did very well and fortunately for us, he was unlucky when hitting the woodwork.
“You can see these are two teams still trying to find themselves and packed with young players seeking experience. We gave the ball away too cheaply at times.
“If we had our champions with us, I think we’ve got more quality and experience than Italy, but I am impressed with the Azzurri. They’ve got a lot of talent, are united and caused us problems.”
