Andrea Bertolacci will not feature for Italy against England, having been ruled out with an injury.
The Genoa midfielder has been struggling with a shoulder injury since Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Bulgaria, and has lost his fitness battle.
“Italy midfielder Bertolacci is ruled out of the Italy-England match due injury, the player will return today to Genoa.” the FIGC confirmed in a statement.
The 24-year-old has represented the Azzurri twice, with his first cap coming last year in a friendly with Albania.
