Elsewhere for the Bianconeri, Claudio Marchisio is likely to replace the injured Blaise Matuidi in midfield, Stephan Lichtsteiner “is ahead” of Mattia De Sciglio at right-back and Alex Sandro could be rested for Kwadwo Asamoah.

Fiorentina, meanwhile, must make do without right-back Vincent Laurini, who injured his foot against Bologna in the previous round of games.

His place should be taken by German Pezzella, who is free to return for the Viola after serving a one-match ban.

The two sides last locked back in August, with Mario Mandzukic’s goal handing Juve a 1-0 win.

Fiorentina (probable): Sportiello; Pezzella, Milenkovic, Astori, Biraghi; Benassi, Badelj, Veretout, Gil Dias; Simeone, Chiesa

Juventus (probable): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Benatia, Chiellini, Asamoah; Khedira, Pjanic, Marchisio; Bernardeschi, Higuain, Mandzukic
