The Rossoneri President confirmed earlier today that he has agreed to sell the club to a Chinese consortium, though the takeover is not yet official.

“Milan has always been, first and foremost, a matter of the heart for my father,” Berlusconi jr told Ansa.

“He devoted himself to it with energy and passion, but now he’s decided that it’s time to change course, that Milan could do better in other hands.

“He made that decision for the good of the team. It seems to me that now it’s a matter of timing and competing with giants who have infinite financial means.

“The path of a Milan with young, Italian players is perhaps the right way, the most fascinating, but Milan also needs a lot of work because, sadly, the team has to be deeply reviewed.”
