Milan President Silvio Berlusconi confirmed he likes Mario Balotelli “a lot,” fuelling more reports of a January offer for the Manchester City enigma.

The patron spent five hours at the Milanello training ground on Friday in a bid to revive the squad after a dismal start to the season.

While there, Berlusconi spoke to the media on numerous topics and was asked about Balotelli.

“I like him. I like him a lot,” was the response from the media magnate and former Prime Minister of Italy.

Balotelli has never disguised that he is a Rossoneri fan and would prefer this club above all others if he were to leave Manchester City.

His contract expires in 2014 and agent Mino Raiola has repeatedly stated no Italian club will be able to afford his transfer fee or his current wages.

Nonetheless, Berlusconi’s comments have fuelled speculation of a January offer for SuperMario.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Coach Massimiliano Allegri blasted his squad during a team meeting.

“I didn’t see a single tackle won in 20 minutes. The problem is not in your legs, it is in your heads,” he allegedly said during training.

“You’re not all here with your minds and this is why we are losing. To you it makes no difference whether we win or lose and that cannot happen at a club like Milan. If we carry on like this, we’ll end up in Serie B.”
