This could either be a reference to spinal surgery that Ancelotti needs to solve a long-term medical issue, or a transfer strategy to coax him into making the move.

Ancelotti is currently in Vancouver on vacation with his wife and should give a response to the Milan offer by Wednesday.

It has been suggested by some that Berlusconi’s talk of reviving Milan, bringing back Ancelotti and even Zlatan Ibrahimovic from PSG is timed perfectly to coincide with the election campaign.

Berlusconi is travelling all over the country drumming up support for his political party, Forza Italia, and the idea of boosting investment in the club provides good PR.
