Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani will reportedly buy 95 per cent of Monza, rather than the initially mooted 70 per cent.

The former Milan owner and his right hand man are looking to get back into football by buying the Serie C club, and have been in talks for several weeks.

There’s a sentimental reason for both, as Galliani was born in Monza and Berlusconi lives nearby in Arcore.

According to this morning’s Corriere della Sera, the pair have decided to buy almost all of the club, taking on 95 per cent of the shares.
