Milan President Silvio Berlusconi is hopeful Carlo Ancelotti will return, but announces ‘there’s nothing new for now’.

The club’s joint-CEO, Adriano Galliani, is in Madrid in an attempt to convince the Coach to return to San Siro, though Ancelotti has so far been cool on the idea.

The former Chelsea manager requires spinal surgery, and is planning to take a year off from football after being sacked by Real Madrid.

“Will Ancelotti agree to return? Hopefully,” Berlusconi told reports in Padua.
