Domenico Berardi insists Sassuolo “can fight to the end for a place in Europe” and discusses his record against Milan.

The forward announced himself on the Serie A stage with four goals against the Rossoneri in 2014, and will renew acquaintances on Sunday.

“It’s a fantastic evening, I’ll always carry it with me,” Berardi told Sky.

“It’s not often you score four goals against Milan. As for the upcoming match, the Rossoneri are coming off a good run they showed the strength they have in the Coppa Italia too, with a 5-0 win.

“They’re a very strong team, but we’re not far behind and we’re coming off a beautiful win at the Olimpico against Lazio.

“It’ll definitely be a good game to experience and I really hope we’ll be able to win at home. Our goal was safety and we’ve achieved that, now we’ll play without any pressure.

“We’ll try to bring satisfaction and – why not? – fight to the end for a place in Europe. It’s been a difficult time for me personally, but I’m working every day to get better.

“I’ve changed a lot in terms of my character. I tended to react after the first foul, now I’m much calmer and you can see the results.”
