Today Samp President Massimo Ferrero confirmed there was no agreement after a meeting with Napoli for Duvan Zapata, Lorenzo Tonelli and Ivan Strinic.

“Duvan Zapata is the ideal profile for Sassuolo’s requirements, but at the moment Napoli only want to sell him on a permanent basis for sums that are prohibitive for us,” Neroverdi director Giovanni Carnevali told La Gazzetta di Modena newspaper.

“We’ll see if it’s possible to find a solution.”

According to Sky Sport Italia this evening, the key could well be an option to buy Italy international Berardi if and when he should be on the market.

Juventus did have an option on the Sassuolo winger, but that has been abandoned.
