Juventus target Domenico Berardi will hold some talks with Sassuolo, who are thinking of keeping him.

In spite of not being called up for Euro 2016, the 21-year-old remains one of the most coveted young Italian forwards.

The Bianconeri were long believed to be very close to signing him, with an offer of €25m and a gentleman's agreement with the player's home club.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, the club are now considering whether to keep Berardi for themselves.

The player is believed to have a preference for staying put rather than following in the footsteps of former teammate Simone Zaza, and he will be contacted by the club to hold some talks over his future.

Juventus are not applying a great deal of pressure at the moment as they are still waiting to find out whether they can keep Alvaro Morata, or whether Real Madrid will make use of their buy-out clause and take him away.
