The Uruguayan was interviewed by Nueva Helvecia and spoke about his role at Juve.

“I feel very good, the goal is to become a starter. The competition is high,” Bentancur told the Uruguayan magazine.

“The are a lot of games, so you can’t think of always being used by the coach. If I play I am happy, if a teammate who is playing better is on the pitch then I am happy for him too.”

Inter and Lazio are challenging Juve for the Scudetto, in what perhaps is the most difficult title race in recent memory, but Bentancur states it doesn’t matter to him who is second or third.

“I don’t care, we have to only think of ourselves. We want to win everything.

“We work on the bad aspects of our game on the pitch and gaining consistency during matches.

“We have reached around 60-70% of our potential."

Bentancur has started 14 games for the Old Lady this season.
