“It’s amazing to play with Ronaldo,” the 21-year-old told reporters.

“I used to admire him on TV and now I’ve played against him at a World Cup and he’s become my teammate.

“The injuries to Sami and Emre afforded me space in the team. The Coach is letting me play and I’m trying to take advantage of the opportunity.

“I like playing as a ‘mezzala’ because it gives me more chances to get involved and score a goal.

“Last year was my apprenticeship and it served me very well. Now I want to repay the faith the Coach is giving me.”
