Today, his agent Manuel Garcia Quillon has been interviewed by Calciomercato.com and asked whether he might come to Italy to discuss a renewal.
“It's a possibility,” he admitted. “I'm not in Italy now, but there's a chance I could come over.
“But at the moment nothing has moved in terms of Benitez's contract situation.”
