Rafa Benitez said Napoli’s dramatic sudden death shoot-out Super Cup win over Juventus was “one of the best games of my life.”

The Coach won his 10th career Cup, 12th piece of silverware including League titles, while it was Napoli’s first Super Cup victory since 1990.

“It’s one of the best games of my life, as to win against a side like Juventus is remarkable. We dedicate this to all the Napoli fans who were with us today and watching from home,” he told Rai Sport in Doha.

“Dries Mertens had a bit of an ankle problem, so De Guzman had to start. Rafael was excellent, Higuain made the difference in attack, but everyone worked so hard.

“In these shoot-out situations the goalkeeping coach is crucial. I am so happy for Rafael, Higuain and all the fans who had faith in us.”

This match again confirmed that Napoli give their best in one-off clashes, but fail to find consistency in Serie A.

“We know that we can do this, it’s just an issue of carrying on and maintaining this intensity.”
