Gazzetta dello Sport reports that an agreement with the two parties is already in place, with an signature due sometime this week.  The club have already confirmed that they are working on an extension to the current contract, which expires in 2020.

Il Gallo has made an explosive start to the current campaign, scoring ten goals in as many appearances. This has unsurprisingly attracted interest from Premier League teams such as Everton and Manchester United, and the Granata have moved to secure their prized asset.

The revised deal is said to be worth €1.5m per season to Belotti and will run to 2021. Written into the agreement will be a €94m release clause, but this will only be valid for foreign teams.

This will avoid a situation whereby an opposing Serie A club can pay the set fee in order to secure the player, as was the case with Gonzalo Higuain’s summer move from Napoli to rivals Juventus.
