The centre-back scored the opening goal in his side’s win over Crotone tonight, his first-ever Serie A goal in his 104th appearance in the Italian top flight.

“I’m very happy,” Bellusci told Sky after the match.

“We work a lot on set pieces, we hope to continue like this. For our style of play it takes time. Honestly, in the first two games we didn’t get a lot wrong on the ball, but we struggled to score goals.

“Today we created some chances, we have to work hard to try and be more cynical.”

Bellusci is on loan in Tuscany from Leeds United, and discussed his time at Elland Road.

“I was full of dreams when I went there, but over time it became more difficult and I came back for personal reasons.”
