The ex-Sassuolo coach has signed a four-year deal with the Seagulls, who confirmed his appointment on Sunday night.
The 43-year-old was unveiled to the media at a press conference on Tuesday where the Italian coach said his friend Pep Guardiola congratulated him on his job with the Premier League side.
“He’s very happy and spoke highly of this club, said he’s always ready to help me if I should need anything – except for the game we play against each other,” said De Zerbi, who also discussed the similarities between his new club and Sassuolo.
