Ante Rebic has missed a month of action with Milan but he’s hoping to return in time for the next game against Empoli.

The 29-year-old Croatian forward had a good start to the season, scoring two goals in the Rossoneri’s 4-2 win over Udinese last month, but he was ruled out of action after suffering from a small hernia. Rebic has missed Milan’s last seven games across all competitions, limiting Stefano Pioli’s options up front.

As reported by Tuttosport, Rebic’s condition is improving and the club are optimistic that he’ll be able to take to the pitch again soon. The 29-year-old opted for a conservative treatment regiment, which is having the desired effect, and he’s now aiming to be fit in time for the game against Empoli on October 1.

Rebic has scored 28 goals and provided 15 assists across 94 appearances for Milan since his arrival in September 2020.
