Ivica Olic has admitted an interest in joining Italian club Lazio from Bayern Munich during the January transfer window.

The Croatian attacker has been paired with the capital club and he’s today told Tuttosport that he’s looking for a new team.

“I intend to leave Bayern in January,” he noted. “I’m no longer in the plans of the Bayern boss and that could subsequently jeopardise my place at Euro 2012.

“I’m honoured that a side like Lazio have been associated and I hope there is more to it than just an interest in me.”

If Olic joins the Biancocelesti in the New Year, he will be reunited with former Bayern teammate Miroslav Klose.

“Perhaps you are surprised by his form, but I’m not,” the 32-year-old continued.

“He is a champion and it is always a pleasure to play alongside him. It’ll be nice if we could play together again.”

Klose, a Bosman free signing from the Bundesliga giants, has scored eight goals in 13 Serie A games so far this season.
