Napoli defender Kim Min-jae has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Bayern Munich, so he will move to Germany once the Bundesliga giants pay his release clause.

According to transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, Kim has accepted Bayern Munich’s contract proposal and will sign a five-year deal at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern will complete his transfer in the first two weeks of July when they can activate a release clause worth more than €50m.

Manchester United had been heavily linked with signing the Napoli centre-back for a long time but will have to look elsewhere for defensive reinforcement.

Kim joined Napoli from Fenerbahce last summer for just €18m and contributed to the Partenopei’s first Serie A title in 33 years.

The 26-year-old played 45 games across all competitions with the Partenopei last season, scoring two goals.

Kim will follow Luciano Spalletti out of the Stadio Maradona as the Italian tactician also left the club after winning the third title in the club’s history.
