Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng believes “we are the favourites” against Juventus in the Champions League.
The Bianconeri will face the German champions in the Last 16 of the competition, and centre-back sees the Bavarian side as favourites to progress.
“They [Juventus] are a strong opponent,” Boateng admitted, speaking to UEFA’s official website.
“They are very clever and tactically outstanding. Nevertheless, we are favourites.”

Full-back Phillip Lahm is also looking forward to the tie, describing it as a classic encounter.
“A very nice tie between two top sides – a European classic. Juventus made the final last season so it is a big challenge, but we want to reach the quarter-finals and will give everything to do so.”
