Atalanta defender Alessandro Bastoni is “very happy to be signing with Inter,” but admits he could be going out on loan.
The 19-year-old was already purchased for €8m plus bonuses last summer, but left in Bergamo on loan for the rest of the season.
He wasn’t due to leave Atalanta until June 2019, but the operation was brought forward and he put pen to paper today.
“I am very happy to be signing with Inter, as it’s a great club,” said the Italy Under-19 international on Sportitalia.

“Now I’ll have to prepare for the Euros, then we’ll see what option to choose. I ask the fans to be patient, as I still need to finish the maturation process and we’ll see where that will be done.
“My idol has always been Sergio Ramos, while I was fortunate enough to meet Walter Samuel and was so impressed. Milan Skriniar is great too.”
