Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli says he hopes to return to action ‘soon’, but doesn’t give a timeframe.
The defender has been struggling with an achilles injury all season, and hasn’t featured at all for the Bianconeri this term, and the club hasn’t given a return date for the 33-year-old.
“I hope to return to the field soon,” Barzagli told the official Juventus website.
“It’s hard to watch the games on television. My hope is that I’ll be back soon.”

The centre-back also discussed the Old Lady’s Champions League draw which will see them take on Borussia Dortmund in the Last 16.
“The draw pits us against a team which has been a top Champions League side in recent years, and played in the final recently [2013].
“They’ll definitely be a tough opponent, they have good players and a good Coach.”
Juventus have drawn their last three games with Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid and Sampdoria, but Barzagli is not overly concerned.
“We played against three big, physical sides, but the important thing is we’re still top.
“It’s a long season, and we have to stay as focused as ever.”
