Fiorentina counsellor Joe Barone insists Federico Chiesa “has a contract and is happy to stay with us.”
The Italian-American was in Milan to attend the draw of the 2019-20 Serie A fixture list.
“It’s an important day for us and I am here to represent Fiorentina and the whole city of Florence,” Barone told Sky Sport Italia.
He is the right-hand man of new owner and President Rocco Commisso, so was asked about transfer stories.

Among them is Chiesa, because the winger has dropped several hints he wants to join Juventus, but the Viola are refusing to release him.
“Chiesa is part of Fiorentina, he has a contract and is happy to stay with us. He is preparing for the new season, everything is ok.”
