Midfielder Nicolò Barella assures Cagliari are “ready” to face Roma on Sunday.

The Isolani were defeated 3-1 by Genoa on their return to Serie A, and face a wounded Giallorossi who were eliminated from the Champions League by Porto.

“Facing a great team like Roma is always difficult, but we’re ready,” Barella told reporters in a Press conference.

“I’m calm, maybe in the tunnel I’ll feel a bit of emotion but I can’t wait, games like this are the fulfilment of my childhood dream.

"I don't think Roma will be down because of their elimination, they'll be determined to win but we're ready to give our best.

“We have to learn from the Genoa game, if [Niccolò] Giannetti’s shot had gone in we’d have been boosted, now we have special motivation.

“We’re ready, just like we were a week ago.”
