The latest and most surprising link was to Manchester United, where Mino Raiola was trying to use his influence to persuade Balo's former Coach Jose Mourinho to take him back.

While that possibility may be a bit remote, the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 26-year-old's agent is now trying to place the player in one of a number of small Premier League teams.

Everton, Crystal Palace and Sunderland are all possible candidates. Alternatively, Super Mario may even join a Championship team like Wolverhampton or QPR, who would welcome the striker in an effort to get back into the top league.
