According to Gazzetta dello Sport, interest from the two clubs has ‘intensified’ in recent hours.

Emre Can looks to be in the firing line as Juve need to shift a midfielder before Monday’s deadline.

The former Liverpool man also risks being left out of the Old Lady’s Champions League squad.

Despite only arriving last summer, the Bianconeri see him as a great source of profit as he joined on a free transfer.

Juve have already held talks with Barca over the 25-year-old, while Bayern are in need of a long-term replacement for Javi Martinez.

Although he did not take part in his side’s Serie A opener against Parma last weekend, he has been called up to the Germany squad for their September internationals.
