Barcelona are reportedly ready to offer Roma €40m for midfielder Miralem Pjanic after his stunning start to the season.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international scored with a superb free-kick in the Giallorossi’s 3-1 win over Empoli on Saturday, his fourth league goal of the season.

The central midfielder also has four assists to his name after only seven appearances in Serie A, and European champions Barcelona are believed to have taken notice.

Corriere della Sera has reported today that the Blaugrana have €40m ready to try and pry the playmaker away from the Stadio Olimpico.

The 25-year-old arrived at the Giallorossi for the 2011-12 season, when current Barca boss Luis Enrique was in charge of the Lupi.
