Parma are reportedly close to signing Fiorentina full-back Vincent Laurini, while continuing to work on a deal for Mario Balotelli.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, Laurini has agreed a three-year contract with Parma.

That is echoed by Sportitalia journalist Luca Cilli, who claims a transfer is ‘close’.

The 30-year-old joined the Viola from Empoli last summer but found himself on the bench for most of the season behind Nikola Milenkovic.

Schira adds the Ducali have the go-ahead from Napoli to keep midfielder Alberto Grassi on loan for another year, while Mattia Sprocati will join newly-promoted Verona on loan with an obligation to buy if they manage to avoid the drop.

Finally, Cilli writes Balotelli remains the ‘dream’ and that Parma are still working on his arrival, despite his costly demands.

The Italy striker’s contract with Olympique Marseille expires at the end of this month and stands to become a free agent.
