Mario Balotelli is set to leave Nice at the end of the season, according to reports in France.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a decent season on the Cote d'Azur, scoring 17 times in 27 appearances since joining from Liverpool on a free transfer.

However, Nice Matin claims that his current club would be unable to continue paying his €5m-a-season wages for another year, meaning the former Milan, Inter and Manchester City forward's departure seems inevitable.

Balotelli's goals have contributed to Nice's highly impressive Ligue 1 season to date. With two matches remaining in the campaign, Lucien Favre's side cannot finish lower than third, meaning they have already secured Champions League qualification for next term.

Should the Italy international decide to leave, it is said both Spanish side Las Palmas and Turkish outfit Galatasaray would be interested in securing his services.
