The Italy international did not hold back in his comments to Telefoot ahead of today’s showdown with the runaway Ligue 1 leaders.

“I only watched them once this season and it was against Real Madrid. They really did deserve to lose. It's shameful to see them go out of the Champions League that early.
“The problem is that money buys you players, but it doesn’t buy you a team.”
Balotelli was again left out of the Italy squad for upcoming friendlies against Argentina and England, despite scoring 22 goals in 30 competitive games for Nice this season.
His last cap for the Azzurri came in the 2014 World Cup.
