Mario Balotelli may be fit to make his Milan return in the Coppa Italia tie with Sampdoria on Thursday.

The striker has been out since the 1-0 defeat to Genoa with a hernia, but has recently returned to training after surgery.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Balotelli will train with his teammates today and tomorrow, and Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic could involve him in the squad on Thursday.

However, the newspaper notes that the Rossoneri are not keen to risk further injury, so Balotelli may not return until after the winter break.
