"I have heard from Balotelli," said Prandelli. "He understands that he made a fool of himself.

"He said to me: 'I need help. I always ruin everything but I care a lot about the national team.

"I haven't spoken with De Rossi. Anyway it made me happy to read the latest comments that he released yesterday so we'll start again from there.

"He is important for us but I also judge players on their behaviour. Anyway I could call up both Daniele and Balotelli for the friendly against Ukraine. We'll see.

"The code of ethics must be respected by everyone."
