Davide Ballardini declared himself pleased with Genoa’s goalless draw at Fiorentina this afternoon.

The Griffone produced a solid performance to take a point from their match at the Artemio Franchi, a result which means they have lost just once in five League matches.

“I was very pleased by the first half,” Ballardini, whose side are now 17th in Serie A, told reporters post-match.

“Then, we lowered our level and dropped off. We gave too much away.

Fiorentina have been doing well in this period, so I am happy with the point we have taken.”

Despite the Rossoblu’s lowly League position, their Coach is convinced his side will eventually move up the table.

“Genoa need to keep working hard. Once we do that, we will get what we deserve.”
