“We are facing the best team, who play different football to everyone else,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It’ll be very exciting, because we are playing against a side that knows its moves off by heart. I am very curious to see how we’ll perform.

“We are a side who make humility, hard work and generosity our priorities. We have seen that a goal can arrive at any moment, as unfortunately we learned last week. It’ll be a very intense match from start to finish, always alive for various reasons.”

Genoa were stunned by the last kick of the game when they lost 1-0 to Milan, beaten by an Andre Silva header.

“We must approach Napoli the same way, with the desire to do well and take control of the game. We are a good side, but every now and then we’re lax in our control of the ball. Genoa must never stop the growth process, improving in possession and defending.

“I think both sides will have their difficulties in this game. Napoli are well-drilled, we work very hard, it’ll be exciting for us to face, as I said, the most talented team in Serie A.

“We still need points, because the race to avoid relegation is still wide open and that is extra motivation for us.”

Ballardini confirmed that Miguel Veloso and Armando Izzo are still out of action, while Adel Taarabt and Giuseppe Rossi aren’t fit for 90 minutes.
