Sporting director Piero Ausilio believes Gabriel Barbosa “represents the dream of the new Inter”.
The Brazilian forward joined the Nerazzurri from Santos this summer, for a fee believed to be close to €30m, and was officially presented today.
“I want to remember a promise I made to [Pirelli CEO Marco] Tronchetti a year ago,” Ausilio explained in the Press conference.

“I want to remember a promise I made to [Pirelli CEO Marco] Tronchetti a year ago,” Ausilio explained in the Press conference.
“He asked us to explain the new Inter ideas in view of Financial Fair Play, he wanted a dream. He told me to build a good team, but above all find a player who represented the dream of the new Inter.
“I think with Gabriel we have that opportunity. He has talent and humility. He was a dream for others, but I want to thank Inter and Suning for making this dream a reality.”
