Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo insists “we have no fear” of Cristiano Ronaldo, ahead of their Champions League meeting with Juventus.
Diego Simeone’s side will face the Serie A leaders in the Last 16 of the competition, and will be up against a familiar face in former Real Madrid striker CR7.
“Juve are one of the best teams in Europe but we’ll try to eliminate them,” Cerezo told Tuttosport.

“There is a lot of respect between the two clubs. I admire [Juventus President Andrea] Agnelli and I think whoever qualifies for the next stage will reach the final. Let’s hope it’s us.
“Ronaldo? We’ve faced him so many times. We respect him but we have no fear. He is an incredible player and he is proving his worth at Juventus.
“Cristiano is one of the best five players in the world together with [Leo] Messi, [Antoine] Griezmann, Neymar and [Kylian] Mbappé.
“I think he is the same Cristiano that used to play for Real Madrid and Manchester United, a true leader.”
