“The Neapolitans are already strong, they have shown some good things, but not in every game,” Zoff has considered on Radio Crc this week.

“They need to bring out the fighting spirit even with the smaller sides because it should not be that these teams are able to win at the San Paolo.

“They need the character and aggressiveness that Atletico Madrid have shown they have.

“The wingers at Napoli are very good, but they are too offensive and they cannot play every three days going back and forth on the field, attacking and defending, so many times in a game.”

Zoff was asked what was required for the club to close the 20-point gap to League leaders Juventus.

“With the right investments in the market, Napoli will bridge that gap to Juventus.

“It is very difficult to get the top players, but it is not necessary to buy players already established, to be competitive. You have to look at good players around you who can then become top players.”
