Atalanta have agreed to the terms of a deal for Charles De Ketelaere with Milan and are now waiting for the player to sign off on the move, reports detail.

Talks between the two clubs quickly progressed and la Dea have now agreed to pick up the talented Belgian on a €3m loan deal with a €23m buy option attached. They are also expected to pay the majority of his wages for the coming campaign.

A number of other clubs across Europe were interested in signing De Ketelaere this summer, including PSV, Olympique Marseille, Aston Villa and Real Sociedad.

As highlighted by TMW, De Ketelaere has now returned from Milan’s pre-season tour in the United States and will meet with his agents in the coming hours to take stock of the move to Atalanta.

Should he give the green light to the deal today, things would move into their closing stages, putting la Dea one step closer to securing his signature.
