La Dea hope to continue their unbeaten record this weekend so most Atalanta vs. Sassuolo predictions will favour the home side. The hosts sit second in the Serie A table but face a Sassuolo side with plenty of ability themselves.

Atalanta vs. Sassuolo odds

  1. – Atalanta to win – 13/19
  2. – Home side to win 1-0 – 8/1
  3. – Atalanta to keep a clean sheet – 17/10
  4. – Under 2.5 goals – 27/20
  5. – Lookman to score anytime – 9/4

Atalanta are one of two unbeaten teams in Serie A going into Saturday’s clash with Sassuolo. The Orobici have withstood player departures and an injury-hit start to the season but trail league leaders Napoli by just two points going into match day 10.

Sassuolo have also done well given their circumstances. The loss of Gianluca Scamacca and Giacomo Raspadori was always going to impact their attacking output, made all the worse by a thigh injury to Domenico Berardi with four games played. Even so, the Neroverdi remain solidly mid-table having won, drawn and lost their games in equal numbers.

La Dea drew their second game of the season last weekend away to an impressive Udinese side. But the odds are heavily in their favour ahead of Saturday’s clash. Gasperini’s side have proven themselves time and time again this season and we back the hosts to take all three points against Sassuolo.

Uncharacteristically for Atalanta, it has been the defence that has excelled this season, with Matteo Scalvini particularly impressive. A more controlled approach to matches has seen the Orobici win three games 1-0 already this season.

With Sassuolo seriously lacking a goal threat, a bet on the hosts to prevent the away side from scoring could well pay off. For slightly more adventurous punters, a wager on Atalanta’s most frequent result this season, 1-0, may also be worth the risk.

Despite the success of their newfound defensive solidity, it has not exactly produced the entertaining football that Gasperini’s side are known for. In fact, there have been over two goals scored in just two Atalanta games this season – and Saturday could well be another low-scoring fixture.

One bright spark in attack has been summer signing Ademola Lookman. The English winger has played across the front line securing four goal contributions in as many starts. Having bagged his third goal of the season last weekend, Lookman to score anytime would be a solid bet.

Davide Frattesi’s injury against Inter is likely to rule Sassuolo’s joint top scorer out this weekend. Alessio Dionisi is increasingly short of attacking options with Domenico Berardi, Gregoire Defrel and Junior Traore all sidelined through injury.
