“Schelotto won’t be moving in January,” Atalanta director Pierpaolo Marino told Sky Sport Italia. “We can’t afford to unbalance the side this season.

“However, we are aware that we are unable to shackle our players who are being requested by the big teams.

“The boy is doing some fantastic things,” the former Napoli official added.

“He won’t be leaving after Christmas, but we won’t be able to clip the wings of a career that I expect will be bright.”

The 22-year-old can play as a right-back or on the right hand side of midfield.

Although born in Argentina, he’s represented the Italian Under-21 side and is hoping for a career at full level with the Azzurri.
