Real Madrid star Marco Asensio spent a few days in Milan, fueling transfer speculations of a possible move to San Siro in the summer.

Asensio hasn’t been called up by the Spain national team, so he had a chance to enjoy some days off. He travelled to Milan with his girlfriend Sandra Garal who posted a picture in front of the iconic dome writing a message in Italian: ‘Amore mio.’

Asensio’s contract expires in June 2023, but no deal has been agreed to extend his stay in Madrid.

According to Calciomercato.com, Asensio is happy at his club but wants to have a clear idea about his future given that he may get reduced playing time from 2022-23, especially if Kylian Mbappé signs with Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Asensio currently earns €7m gross in Madrid, but his future at the club mainly depends on the club’s plans for the future. The 26-year-old has played 33 games this season, 17 as a starter. Milan and Real Madrid will soon meet to discuss Brahim Diaz, but Asensio could be one of the names on the Rossoneri’s agenda.

  1. You can literally get to Milan via Bergamo for about £40 and it’s a beautiful city. I wouldn’t say it’s guaranteed to be directly related.
