Agent Davide Torchia claims Kwadwo Asamoah will retire at Inter but warns Chelsea that Juventus ‘have never shown willingness’ to sell Daniele Rugani.

Torchia engineered Asamoah’s free transfer to Inter, although his work may not yet be done this summer as Rugani is reportedly a target for new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, who coached the Juve defender at Empoli.

“Asamoah? I’m very happy for him, he’ll finish his career at Inter and we’re calm,” he told Radio CRC.

“Rugani to Chelsea? I’m happy for Sarri because no-one thought he could get there and now here he is coaching Chelsea.

“It’s a great victory for everyone, even for Napoli it was crucial. Then, given how highly he rates Rugani, everyone thinks [Rugani] could follow him to Chelsea.

“However, it must be remembered that Juventus didn’t accept any negotiations in the past, neither with Napoli nor with any other team, and they’ve always shown willingness to keep the player. That will hasn’t changed.

“Rugani himself hasn’t expressed willingness to go elsewhere, but it must also be said that if there’s an offer, it’ll be listened to because there’s respect in football.

“Ronaldo? Him going to Juventus doesn’t make Serie A a given for them. The deal is incredible for the growth of Italian football.

“However, despite being a great champion, Ronaldo won everything except the League last season, so nothing’s for granted.”
