“My decision to leave Juventus was difficult but the directors and the Coach [Luciano Spalletti] convinced me.

“I’m convinced by what the team is doing, and I think for my career I can improve here.

“I know the rivalry between Juventus and Inter, but I chose this shirt, it doesn’t bother me. I'm here to do my best.”

Asamoah will face the Bianconeri in the coming season, and Cristiano Ronaldo may well be lining up on the other side.

“I’m not even thinking about it, I'm here to play, work and help my team. I’m not thinking about playing against any player or any team.

“To do well you can’t just think about a player or an opponent, you have to consider everyone.”
