Spanish reports claim Arthur Melo, who has already sealed his transfer to Juventus, is returning to Barcelona in order to terminate his contract.

The midfielder completed his transfer to Juve in June, as part of an exchange deal with Miralem Pjanic, with the agreement they would both continue to play with their current clubs until the end of the season.

However, Arthur returned to Brazil after the final Liga fixture and then refused to return for the Champions League.

According to Marca, reported via Football Espana, Arthur has now decided to come back to Spain in order to negotiate an early contract termination.

It comes after Barcelona announced they were taking legal proceedings against the midfielder for refusing to work.

Arthur still won’t be able to play for Juventus until next term, but he simply does not want to play for Barcelona again.

It’s reported he felt ‘betrayed’ by the Blaugrana and pushed out of the club in order to balance the books and bring in Pjanic.

He also has a very negative rapport with coach Quique Setien.

Barcelona are due to face Napoli in the Champions League Round of 16 on Saturday evening.
