Juventus have reportedly rejected a bid from Arsenal for defender Daniele Rugani.

Arsenal have long been linked with Rugani and The Sun claims they offered to take him on a two-year loan, describing Coach Unai Emery as ‘keen’ on the Italy international.

However, the newspaper warns Juve threw out the proposal, even with an option to buy.

That has since been backed up by Goal.com, which explains Bianconeri boss Maurizio Sarri wants to go into the new season with five defenders, amidst concerns over the fitness of Giorgio Chiellini.
