Marco Andreolli would be a good summer signing for Inter, says Chievo Verona boss Eugenio Corini.

The 26-year-old is expected to move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on a free transfer once his present contract expires.

“He has an excellent physical structure,” Corini told Sport Italia. “He’s also very good in starting play from the back.

“He deserves the opportunity to play for a big club like Inter and, in my opinion, I think he is ready to do so.”

The centre-back was actually signed by Inter as a kid in 2003 from Padova, but was sold to Roma in 2007 as part of the deal that saw Cristian Chivu move to the Beneamata.
